This place is magical and like another world in Hanoi. I guess it’s still new and quite hidden that’s why a bit quite. I visited in the morning it was such a great experience. No need ticket however need to pay for the boat’s ride. It was calm, quite and I can take lots of photos. Need to visit at night so will know the different vibe. Some residents own the cafe, can only speak very little English and need to prepare some cash. Atm hardly to find. The place is also only walking distance to the big mall.WLiu

We went on October 8, 2025 and it was a literal ghost town. The place is huge and has hundreds of shops and restaurants but on that afternoon, they were mostly closed. We got the 300,000 vnd cart ride around the place which was good because one could walk for miles and not see more than a couple people. It had hop off and hop on and via a translator the guides were helpful. The two that taking care of us were great. They said it was busier on the weekend.WhoaThereBigFella

Big place to make a day tour here. Many place to explore from mall, to shops, to grand canal or little Venice. The design is colorful and experience the boat ride a great experience too. I book the boat ride in klook and I didnt get on time on what I book in klook time but still they allow it to used as long as the date is the the sane regardless of time. The one way ticket cost 196ntd and will drop you to end point of the canal. Must try to experience when you're in Hanoi, Vietnam too.Jeny Rose Torema

We took the gondola one way, which was a relaxing and scenic ride, and then walked around to enjoy the surroundings. Mega Grand World in Hanoi was a surprising highlight—much bigger than expected, especially once you explore beyond the central area. It was fairly quiet when we arrived mid-afternoon, but the atmosphere picked up later with more people arriving, creating a nice buzz without feeling overcrowded. There are lots of food and coffee outlets throughout, from local bites to trendy cafés, making it a great spot to relax and refuel. The vibrant use of color across the buildings gives it a fun, almost European feel, and the gondola ride was a unique and enjoyable way to see the area from a different angle. We easily could have spent more time there, especially with so many photo-worthy corners and spots to explore off the main strip. There’s a great mix of entertainment, dining, and scenic walking areas, and it all felt clean, safe, and well maintained. The free shuttle bus back to the Opera House was a bonus and made getting there and back simple. A fun outing whether you’re after a relaxing stroll, a bite to eat, or just something visually different from the usual Hanoi experience. Best of all it’s free entry.John Winter
