Excellent stay at the Element in Ubud. Service was superb! Incredibly friendly and responsive. We booked a suite and it was spacious with a beautiful view. The whole hotel feel like it’s situated in a jungle. But less bugs of course. The location is on the edge of the center, so less traffic and noise, and more authentic. Food was consistently good with a great breakfast buffet selection. Resti, the manager, was fantastic - accommodating food allergies and also following up on orders. Buffet was replenished frequently. Pool is amazing size for being in Ubud and there were 3 section. I got a massage at the spa which was heavenly. Kids did some activities at the hotel which they enjoyed. Overall a very pleasant stay and can highly recommend!Pam S

This is a truly great hotel that punches above the “Element” name. You cannot compare this to Elements in other countries, it’s in a class of its own. This is a true 5 star experience, with excellent location (central Ubud), amenities and plenty of amazing activities to keep you busy. The hotel does show its age a bit but nonetheless it is elegantly designed and the rooms are comfortable to stay in and have everything you need. The food at the restaurant was great and I particularly enjoyed the local cuisine it had to offer, I don’t regret topping up the F&B credit at check-in. The various spontaneous events by the plaza and pool were lovely, we loved the fire pit one especially. The daily yoga classes were amazing as well with a lovely location by the koi pond at the spa. If guess the only 2 negatives is that every evening the internet becomes painfully slow as everyone comes back to their rooms and the walls are quite thin (the room dividing doors are extra thin) letting all sound heard from other rooms, even quiet conversation if you are close to the door. Also note that Ubud is not really a walkable city and we did not use the bike or the e-bike rental service, the roads here are quite hectic for western standards, I would do it at your own risk. The hotel is very safe and they even check every vehicle underneath and the trunk that drives into the hotel area. Regarding the service, this is what makes this hotel truly special, I wanted to leave a compliment to all the staff at this hotel - maybe it was by chance (but I don’t think so) but it is some of the best and most attentive service I have ever received in any hotel, even ones far more luxury/upscale than this one. The staff was very proactive, instantly responded to my requests, remembered my previous preferences and made me truly feel cared for, whether it was for reception, booking activities, room service, cleaning or the restaurant. I loved the WhatsApp chat feature as well to easily communicate with the staff. Thank you so much for making my 10 day stay amazing. The hotel motivated me to try out other Marriott hotels in Southeast Asia on my next trip. This is now my go-to hotel in Bali for longer stays.Tim
