Even though I would have loved to give this hotel a 5-star review, they are just not there yet. It might be because they just recently opened, but all ingredients for a superb stay are there. If they step up their game just a bit, I am certain that this place will be everyone’s favorite. ROOMS Rooms are so spacious! One of the largest we had during our travels. Cleanliness of the room was good. Bed might have been a little too hard for European standards, but we still had good nights. The bathroom had a little strange odor (from the sewer), but nothing too bad. In the room there are some snacks and drinks available from the minibar, but no price list. Rooms are located within a beautiful garden, so waking up with the best views! BREAKFAST Breakfast was decent. However, they often forgot to turn on the heating of for example the coffee machine or the heating plate for the warm dishes (sausage, bacon, rice, etc). Result, cold coffee and sausages… When we asked for eggs, they were able to prepare some. It would be more attentive if the staff would offer this instead of us asking for It. In our opinion, if buffet breakfast is something you can’t fully or correctly provide, have a make-to-order breakfast menu instead. Even if we had to order the night before, that would have been perfectly fine. STAFF Staff is very friendly and are really doing their best. They are smiling and asking if there is something they can help us with. However, it seems like not everyone has experience in the hospitality branch. There was a lot of staff walking around on the property, but it wasn’t always clear who had which responsibility. LOCATION Good location away from the more touristic town Tam Coc. By bike (15 min) or scooter (less than 10 min) you can still easily access Tam Coc. Enough restaurant options nearby (walking distance). Also very close to the Mua Caves if you want to climb for spectacular views. We didn’t use the dinner option in the evening. We would have loved to have a coffee after our return from a restaurant, but unfortunately the barista only works until 6pm… Also, we rented a scooter which was probably one of the worst we rented in Asia so far. Speedometer wasn’t working and scooter didn’t always start properly. All in all, we had a good time, especially for the price we were currently paying now they just opened. But as stated in the beginning, for 5 stars a bit more professionalism should be added.Joris Hampsink
