Our cruise of 1 night and 2 days was truncated to a day cruise till 5 pm apprehending an upcoming typhoon. The information came at the last minute on our way to the cruise which was quite unexpected thus and much saddening for my daughter. But this is a natural calamity and safety issue which is acceptable. Rooms were comfortable, near and family spacious (Good) but Peony cruise hardly gave us an hour to spend in the rooms! Food was ok with hardly much options for Indians not taking beef, pork or seafood other than prawns. This is the culinary picture for Indians almost every where in Vietnam including 5 star hotels(Indian eateries are there though). Peony cruises was too professional to bring us back to the jetty by 5 pm sharp!!! They did no mistake in that!!! But there was more to our dissatisfaction. We had to wait for 2 full hours in the jetty for our return limousine bus (charges paid as extra already during cruise booking). Then at 9.10 pm after a day's hectic yet disappointing experience, the driver did not bother to drop us at the hotel entrance! We had to walk 150 mts with our luggage and cross a very busy road. Surprisingly, the manager left before us, the guests while boarding the limousine bus at the jetty at 7 pm! It seemed, he was in great hurry to leave for his home. Transport management gets a negative review, no doubt about that. Overall an average experience, nothing great in it. Booking was on 04.10.25 in the name of Manasij Mitra+1 adult and 1 kid.maitraye basu

Our HaLong Bay cruise was absolutely unforgettable. Tom, the manager, made everything seamless and personal, while Brian at reception and ThaiChi class was always so kind and attentive. Gini was making amazing cocktails. The most awesome moment was when the crew decorated our cabin and the restaurant for our anniversary — it was beautiful and truly heartfelt. The cruise was incredible and very memorable. Our waiter Henry was awesome very fun, kind and helpful. Ken our cruise manager made everything a smooth experience with great communication of when things are on and what to bring. He is also very good at the flute. Anthony the receptionist, cooking teacher, t’ai chi instructor and squid fisherman was very helpful and informative sharing his knowledge of Vietnam. We hope to come back to Ha Long to experience the cruise again and hopefully we have Henry again as he was the nicest human I have ever met. Would definitely recommend and would do the two night cruise as you explore a lot more and visit the local village which was the best part of the holiday after the 5 course dinner and 7 course lunch.Mason

We had the most wonderful experience on peony cruises. The staff went over and above at every single opportunity to take the best care of us. My husband and I will remember this for a long time and will want to come back many more times. Special mention to the manager and the most amazing Jason on board who was always around with a big smile on his face. We celebrated our anniversary on the boat and we are so glad we did! Fantastic cruise, will definitely be back! The view from our room was incredible and the crew was so friendly and welcoming. Everything was very clean and all the food we had was tasty and full of variety. I was quite fussy with not eating seafood and the supervisor John went out of his way to make sure I had other options.
