The hike is beautiful and absolutely worth it. If you have bad knees and fall easily, I do not recommend. It has a lot of uneven rocks and many steep steps. Otherwise, take your time and enjoy the view. We ended our hike by walking to La Tagliata. The food was AMAZING. The only choice we got was between light or second lunch. We got the light lunch and it was more than enough. Highly recommend going there regardless.Seth Jiles

A amazing hike, even more fun if you want to abound the stairs. Bus is an easy way to get down. Only draw back is getting to start the hike on the east side. Would put it top 10 hikes, I have done in way of how stunning it is. I have done lots, of hikes around the world.Trevor Richmond

Definitely worth a hike! The clothing: we had sporty clothes and Asics sneakers on, and it was comfortable. You definitely need closed shoes, because there’s a rocky path - no flip flops or sandals! Trekking shoes would work well too. Recommendation if you don’t have much time: we had only 3 hours in total, so we couldn’t hike the whole path, which is a pity. BUT we found out that you can hike to an amazing panorama point in around 1-1,5 hours and then turn around. We started at Agerola (Bomerano). A spacious parking is 200 m from the starting point of the path. There is also 2 cafes and a hiking shop at the start if you need to refresh or buy some equipment. There is also a map at the start of the path. During the hike - you will come across the crossroad. We chose the “alto” path to Nocelle (1:50), and came to an amazing view point of the whole coast and Positano. As we didn’t have enough time - we turned around and went back to Bomerano. We hiked this path 12-09-2023, from Bomerano to Positano. This is easily one of the most beautiful breathtaking walks we have ever done, and can see exactly why it has its name. A truly beautiful scenic experience that will stay with you for a lifetime. The walk is not particularly difficult (harder coastal walks in Cornwall) and the path can be like a motorway of people at times…but don’t let the busyness put you off. We started at Bomerano because it was easier for us to get to from Conca dei Marini (due to rock fall along the Amalfi Drive closing the road towards Positano - at the time). This said, what a beautiful little town to kick start this walk. So would highly recommend starting here. Bomerano is positioned up in the mountains and is easy to get to by bus or hire vehicle. The main square is where to start the hike, and here there is plenty of parking, a lovely cafe, and a banging hiking shop next door. So, it is only right to grab a quick tea and cake at Caffetteria il Ritrovo before setting off! We started the walk around 09:30 and it was already busy with hikers. But after a while, the busyness disperses along the path with people’s different walking pace. So it is not that noticeable. At Colle La Serra (apx. 578m ASL), an hour or so into the walk from Bomerano, the path splits down left to join the Path of Gods from Praiano to Positano which is the route shown on Google Maps and other hiking apps, or up right where the path is higher above sea level. However, both paths meet up again before reaching Nocelle. We took the higher path. Along the higher sections of the path, the smell of wild rosemary is wonderfully intoxicating and fills the air, and the views are simply breathtaking. Definitely worth taking the higher path from this point. The path hugs the mountain edge, between 300-600m above sea level. The path is very rugged with rocky steps and uneven surfaces along its route. There are several sections where the path leads back into the mountains and becomes more wooded, providing shade. There is a great place stop in the woods that is worth adventuring into, Field of Cairns, where there are hundreds of small stone stacks and a fresh water stream. There are a few places to stop along the way to fill up with drinking water and towards Positano, there is a lovely place to stop for an ice cold fresh lemon drink at Villa Sofia B&B. The path on this route in this direction is finished off with a great overhang of the sandstone cliff followed by several hundred shallow steps down into Positano. Leaving this beautiful natural and serene path and hitting the mass crowds of the Positano streets was a proper assault on the senses for us. But the advantage of going from Boomarano to Positano, is when it is really hot, there is a great sea swim as a reward at the end before catching the ferry (if you’re staying elsewhere). We took roughly 4 hours, mainly because we kept stopping along the path to take in all those stunning views and to pinch ourselves! But it doesn’t matter if you walk this path in 2 hours or take all day to walk it, just have fun and take it all in! We would strongly recommend this walk, you will certainly not regret it. The trail runs along the coast from the town of Bomerano (part of Agerola) to the town of Nocelle (near Positano). It starts in the town of Bomerano, which can be reached by bus from Amalfi or Sorrento. It ends in Nocelle, from where you can take a bus to Positano. It's a relatively easy hike, suitable for most fitness levels, and takes about 3 to 4 hours to complete. As you hike, you'll be treated to stunning panoramic views of the Amalfi Coast, including cliffs, terraced vineyards, and charming coastal towns. On clear days, you can even see the island of Capri. The trail is well-marked and follows a mostly flat or gently sloping terrain. However, there are some steep sections and narrow pathways along the cliff edge, so be sure to wear proper footwear and exercise caution.
